Anointed to See

Receiving ashes on Ash Wednesday is a very powerful beginning to Lent. These remind us to strive to be better and move away from sin. Through prayer, fasting, and good works, we prepare for Easter during Lent. Oils that are used for healing, confirmation, and ordination are blessed at the Chrism Mass on Holy Thursday. When we are anointed, we are called to help those around us to see God.
