Knights of Columbus St. Patrick’s Day Dinner

Get ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Knights of Columbus on Sunday, March 16th! They will be serving Corned Beef Dinner ($15 corned beef, cabbage, carrots, and potato), Corned Beef Sandwiches ($12 Reuben or plain), and Irish Stew ($10 served with a roll) from 2pm – 5pm.

Wally’s Homemade Polish Kielbasa

Don’t forget to pick up some of Wally’s Homemade Polish Kielbasa when you come to the Fish Fry. It’s a great addition to go along with the Homemade Pierogi from the Women’s Club for your Easter dinner!!!

Prayer Ministry Meeting

The Prayer Ministry will meet on Tuesday, March 18th at 7pm in the Gathering Space. All are welcome and encouraged to join us as we lift our prayers to the Lord!!!

Men’s Club Scholarship

Attention all graduating high school seniors!

Applications for the St. Malachy Men’s Club Scholarship are now available in the bulletin. Don’t wait until the last minute to fill this out, get started now and make your parents happy! If you have any questions, please contact Charlie Piscopink.

St. Veronica Food Pantry

Our Christian Service Ministry is helping the St. Veronica Food Pantry. They are requesting nonperishable food items that can be brought to the church or Parish Office the weekend of March 15th and 16th.

St. Veronica also puts together Easter baskets for children of the families they assist monthly. Donations of Easter candy would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Tree of Life

The Lenten Tree of Life is up and located in the front of the church! A list of organizations that we donate to can be found below:

❖ Franciscan Ministry – Serves the homeless, the elderly and the working poor of the East side of Detroit

❖ Most Holy Trinity – Serves the homeless and low-income families in Detroit

❖ Catholic Charities of Southeast Michigan-Project Hope – helps Mothers in need to help with caring for their infants.

❖ Pope Francis Center – Serves the homeless in Detroit and Metro Detroit area

❖ St. Malachy – For the people of our community who come to our door requesting money for food, gas money, or to help with utility bills.

❖ Sanctum House- Provides services and shelter to the victims of Human Trafficking

Help the less fortunate by taking a tag or two! Please attach the tag with your purchase, so we can be sure it is given to the organization it was intended for. Donations should be returned by the weekend of March 22nd and 23rd. Please note we are not accepting any used items at this time! THANK YOU!!!

Women’s Club Meeting

The Women’s Club will meet on Monday, March 10th at 6:30pm in the Currier Center. They will be making Easter bonnets at this meeting!

All women of the parish are welcome and encouraged to join!

St. Malachy Genesis Choir

If your child loves to sing and is in 1st through 8th grade, then the St. Malachy Children’s Choir is for them! The first rehearsal will be on Sunday, March 2nd following the 11:30am Mass in the Youth Center. Please see Director of Music Eric Taylor for more information or questions!

Stations of the Cross

If you are looking for a more prayerful way to spend Lent, then join us starting March 7th and every Friday during Lent at 7pm in the church as we pray the Stations of the Cross!

First Friday Devotions & All Day Adoration

First Friday Devotions will be held on Friday, March 7th immediately following Daily Mass leading into All Day Adoration with the Blessed Sacrament on the altar. Adoration will end at 6:30pm with closing prayers before Reposition of the Blessed Sacrament to the tabernacle!
