Cat Dacpano

Director of Music and Worship

Cat Dacpano, a native of Flint Township and Rochester Hills, MI, is honored to be St. Malachy’s Director of Music and Worship. She began at St. Malachy as Assistant Music Director in 2015 and currently oversees eight ensembles as well as daily liturgy. Cat holds two Bachelor’s Degrees from the University of Michigan and Marygrove College in General Studies and Vocal Music Education.  A professional soprano, pianist, vocal coach, actor, and synth keyboardist, Cat indulges in working with multiple types of music in keeping St. Malachy’s evolving music ministry vibrant.  In 2020, she penned and debuted her Mass of a Generous Heart mass setting, dedicated to St. Malachy’s community and her family.  Cat enjoys collaborating with the Assistant Music Directors, all of the music ministry groups, the entire parish staff and volunteers, and the whole parish at-large. She is grateful for St. Malachy’s community and relishes an energetic congregation ministering together in song.
